Guys… Sometimes you buy a dress and that dress just puts all of your other dresses to shame.
That is this dress. Every time I walk into my closet, I want to put her on.
Yes, she’s a she.
I think I’ve been caught dancing around my room in this dress at least three times. No shame in my dress up game.
I was L O Ling when I finally got these pictures on my computer from my camera. The lighting is perfect, the dress looks great, my makeup isn’t melting down my face…. AND then I noticed that dude in almost all of them. SIGH #bloggerprobs
I hope you guys are having the best week. The weekend is SO close.

Well it’s only Wednesday and I’m already counting down the hours to the weekend. It is HOT in NC, y’all. Like 100 degrees hot. I sort of think work should be cancelled and we should all go to the pool.
Who’s with me?
This dress sold out so FAST and I am SO sad :((((((. I linked some other super cute palm prints that are under $25.00!
I have been struggle busing lately with cooking. Anyone ever plan and buy a weeks worth of healthy meals and then proceed to eat out every night? Sigh. That’s been me for a few weeks now.
So, recently, I decided to try Fresh Meal Plan. I LOVE IT. All of the meals are healthy – you can even choose from meal plans that are paleo or ketogenic or vegetarian. It’s relatively inexpensive and beyond convenient!!
Anyone else use meal services that they like? Lemme know!

Happy Monday Babes!
While we were in LA (post coming on that soon), we stayed at seriously the most stunning resort, Terranea. Originally, we were planning on staying in Manhattan Beach for our entire trip. But, a close friend recommended Terranea and after a few clicks around their website, I was sold.
Terranea is located in Rancho Palos Verdes, about a 30 minute drive from downtown LA. The resort features 102 acres right on the Pacific Ocean. Catalina Island lies right off of the coast of the resort.
The resort has something for everyone. Amenities include:
- Three pools (one with a super fun slide)
- A Spa: I swear, y’all, I had the BEST massage of my life here
- Tons of Ocean activities: paddle boarding, kayaking, whale watching, etc
- A kid’s club
- Golf course
- 4 Restaurants
- & of course, endless amazing ocean views
We stayed in one of the bungalows that sit right on the ocean. Highly recommend. It was so nice to enjoy breakfast out on our terrace. We even saw whales one morning.
We had dinner twice at Mar’sel. Yup, you read the right. It was really THAT good. The restaurant looks right out onto the ocean and the sunset views were spectacular.
We had the absolute best time here. If you’re heading to LA and want to get away from the city for a night or two, head to Terranea. OR if you’re looking for a wedding venue!!

Happy Thursday Babes!
I had to type that sentence a few times to figure out what day it is. We took the red eye home from LA Tuesday night and I still don’t think I’ve fully recovered.
How adorable is this romper?
Off the shoulder & eyelet? I’m obsessed. It also comes in white and is a serious summer staple.
&&& I found this super chic clutch on Amazon and it’s such a good Gucci dupe. I’ve been all about the designer dupes lately. This one is only $15 (say what?!) and is surprisingly good quality. It comes in a few colors as well.
Everyone ready for the weekend?

Happy, Happy Wednesday Babes!
I’ve done it. I have found the perfect where to any occasion dress.
You are so welcome ;).
But, in all seriousness, there are just so many places I could see this dress. It’s not too short, or too long, and the top is way fun. I wore it to a high school graduation and got tons and tons of compliments.
The fit is TTS – I am wearing a size 4.
Still way too obsessed with these shoes. I now own them in 4 different colors. I love designer pieces as much as the next gal – BUT I am all about a designer dupe.
I hope everyone is having the best week!

Monday, we meet again.
Does anyone else have a to-do list that is actually miles long? I was planning to be so productive over the weekend, but then the pool started calling my name and I really got nothing done. Oops.
&&& we are heading somewhere fun this weekend and part of next week for a little bit of work and a lot of play. So, I guess I better get my but in gear.
I love a good wrap dress. So, throw in a funky cut out and I’m all in. This LBD is beyond flattering and such a good summer staple. The material is a thicker jersey which helps hide flaws. It’s TTS – I’m wearing a small.
AND this dress is only $48 bucks.
Hope everyone (mainly me) has the most productive week 😉

How is it already Thursday?
& why can’t every week be a short one? All the questions. It has been SO dreary and rainy in Raleigh this week and I am OVER it. Sitting here wondering if the sun is ever coming out again.
I’m hoping these pants will brighten up everyone’s week. I am in LOVE with them. Serious LOVE.
The entire time I wore them, I may or may not have been humming MC Hammer. They are super, super flattering. I love a good high waist and crop top.
I’ve also been wearing this earrings non-stop. They are so fun and summery.
Hoping you guys are having the best week!!

I love desserts.
I could skip french fries and pizza any day, just give me some chocolate. I am always on the hunt for good desserts, and I judge a restaurant harshly on their dessert selection.
Enter Hayes Barton Cafe, one of Raleigh’s hidden gems. The restaurant recently celebrated it’s 20th anniversary and is really known by locals as a Raleigh institution. The food is superb, but the desserts are even better. We head over whenever we are having a serious chocolate craving.
The restaurant itself is decorated in a 40’s theme with pictures of Frank Sinatra, Cary Grant and Katharine Hepburn. The dessert counter is something to see. Ordering a piece of cake at Hayes Barton will feed a small army so be prepared. They lovingly refer to their hefty slices as “slabs of cake”. You could just head to the dessert counter and order a piece to go.
We started out the evening with mussels.
Some other favorites are the crab dip and the oysters. Hayes Barton also has homemade bread at the table that is seriously mouth watering. They feature a different type of homemade bread every week. When we went, there was cinnamon sweet bread that I ate way, way too much of.
For dinner, I really haven’t had a bad entree. They have weekly specials that you can find on their Facebook page. I had the pot pie which was honestly hands down the best chicken pot pie I’ve ever had. We also had the shrimp and grits, which was one of the specials. The grits were to die for.
You really can’t go to Hayes Barton without having dessert. We tried the Red Velvet cake which was so good. They are known for their coconut cake which I’ve had and highly recommend. You can also order cakes for special occasions. This past Christmas we ordered a coconut cake and it was a major hit.
Hayes Barton is open for dinner Wednesday through Saturday and open for lunch Tuesday through Saturday. If you’re in the mood for some fantastic home style food or a huge slab of cake, head on over.

Happy Memorial Day! I hope you guys are having the best weekend. We had so much fun down at the beach!
I knew the second I saw this swimmie, I had to have it. I love buying at least one patriotic bathing suit every summer. It’s perfect for Memorial Day and the Fourth of July.
Just as an FYI for all my long torso ladies – I sized up to make sure I had enough back coverage 🙂

Happy Long Weekend y’all!
I am heading to the mountains for the weekend, but I wanted to get the jumper up because how perfect is it for Memorial Day weekend? Or for a summer barbecue!
It’s selling out fast, so go scoop it up! I am wearing a small and the fit is TTS – even for my long torso gals 😉
I wore it to dinner and it was so comfy and even though it’s pants, I was surprisingly cool all night (& we ate outside).
I hope you guys are having the best weekend! Doing anything fun?
