Buckle Strap Romper

ROMPER: Shein│BAG: Celine│SHOES: Stuart Weitzman (old) Similar Here│WATCH: Michele│BRACELETS: David Yurman

Happy, Happy Saturday friends. This week flew by and I couldn’t be happier. Need some serious R & R this weekend.

I think I could only do a Vegas weekend once every 5 years. Maybe it was the time change or the lack of sleep, but I still feel like I am recovering 5 days later. Is this what getting older is like? No thank you.

I love love love Shein. This romper is adorable and figure flattering and under $25. Doesn’t get much better than that.

Actually, I love all rompers that I can just throw on and go. They are so easy. &&& this one can be dressed up or down. It looks adorable with sandals and a jean jacket for a more casual look. I wore it to dinner and it was perfect for date night.

We are heading to New Orleans next week for a friend’s graduation. Any suggestions on things to do/see?

xoxo

Striped Off The Shoulder Top

SHIRT: Asos │JEANS: AG│ SHOES: Stuart Weitzman (old) Similar Here│ BAG: Celine │WATCH: Michele │BRACELETS: David Yurman │SUNNIES: Quay

Guys, a new love has entered my life.

I feel like this one’s going to last forever. and ever. and ever.

Her name is Celine and I am beyond obsessed ;). I have been coveting a celine luggage bag for basically ever. I think the structure of the bag is super classic.

I went back and forth about the size I wanted for months. The larger sizes make a great everyday bag. But, I ended up picking the nano. I use crossbody bags all the time and I wanted one that was more structured than my Chanel.

Whenever I am thinking about a bag I always use Bag, Borrow or Steal to try it out. If you’ve never heard of BBS – I highly recommend you check them out! If I’m going to make a serious investment, I want to make sure I like it. I rented several of the larger Celines, but ended up going with the nano. In terms of rental prices for BBS – they are relatively affordable (200-300 for a month of use).

I wore this top on Cinco De Mayo and got so many compliments. It’s cute and hides any evidence of two or three tacos 😉

Hope you guys are having the best week!!

xoxo

Orange Ted Baker Dress / 7 Magic Mountains

DRESS: Ted Baker (sold out) Similar Here and Here │SHOES: Tory Burch │SUNNIES: Ray Ban

While we were in Las Vegas, we trekked out to Seven Magic Mountains.

This super funky two year art exhibit is located about 20 minutes outside of Las Vegas in the middle of the desert. Yes, it’s a little bit of a drive from the strip, but the views are so worth it.

The exhibit consists of seven 35 foot colorfully painted boulder towers.

Ugo Rondinone, a Swiss artist, is responsible for creating this colorful collection. I highly recommend visiting for something a little different during your time in Vegas. The picture opportunities are endless. If you are going to visit – a few words of advice – wear closed toed shoes. There aren’t any bathrooms, so plan ahead. And bring water.

I wore this Ted Baker maxi dress that I absolutely love. It’s older and sold out, but I linked a few similar options. The color is perfect for summer!

Let me know if you have any questions about Seven Magic Mountains!

Palm Print Skirt

SKIRT: Shein│ TOP: Forever 21 │BAG: ModCloth (sold out) similar Here │SUNNIES: River Island (old) Similar Here│ JACKET: J Crew │SHOES: Stuart Weitzman (old) Similar Here│ BRACELETS: David Yurman │WATCH: Michele

I had to get this skirt up ASAP. It’s the perfect summer skirt and it’s $9 dollars.

Yes, you read that right. It wasn’t a typo.

IT’S NINE DOLLARS.

I love, love Shein for cute clothes that I know I’m only going to wear a few times. As a general rule, I usually buy two sizes because the sizing can be a little bit all over the place. This skirt is TTS – I’m wearing a small. How cute would this skirt be on vacation? It has me itching to plan another beach vacation. I’ve been eyeing Bermuda for months now.

You guys message me about these shoes every time I wear them.

I’ve looked high and low for them and I just can’t find them anywhere. Stuart Weitzman generally makes a great nude wedge every summer. So, I’m just patiently waiting (read: stalking the site everyday) for a good nude or cork wedge to come out for you guys.

Vegas and Grand Canyon Trip Review coming this week!

Ruffles and Gingham

SHIRT: Shein│JEANS: AG│SHOES: Jessica Simpson (old) Similar Here│BAG: Louis Vuitton│SUNNIES: Ray Ban│WATCH: Michele│BRACELETS: David Yurman

Happy Weekend y’all.

The Sunday Scaries haven’t set in yet and I think it’s because we are having the most beautiful weather in Raleigh this weekend! I had to get out and enjoy it.

Obsessing over this adorable top I wore to brunch this weekend. It’s freaking $16 bucks y’all! So adorable for spring and summer. Ruffles and gingham and off the shoulder? Obsessed. It also comes in three colors.

These are my favorite, favorite cropped jeans. They are so flattering. Even on my fattest days (that’s a thing, right?), they are super slimming. Maybe it’s the wash or the cut, but whatever it is, I highly recommend. Any jeans that I can eat endless Mexican in and still feel skinny are a winner in my book.

Questions? Drop em below!

Bailey 44 Lace Dress

DRESS: Bailey 44 │SHOES: Stuart Weitzman (old) Similar Here │WATCH: Michele │BRACELETS: David Yurman

Happy, Happy Friday babes!

Just super happy the weekend is here. We  are heading to Brewgaloo in Raleigh tomorrow. Brewgaloo is craft beer festival that’s held every year in downtown Raleigh. It’s an outdoor event with 100+ craft breweries to sample beer from. There are also food trucks and live music. I am not a huge fan of beer, but with 100+ different breweries to choose from I can always find something I like. If you’re in Raleigh, go check it out!

Another white dress for ya’ll today.

I’m sorry, I just love white for spring and summer. This dress is crazy versatile. I wore it on vacation, but this dress screams bride to me. It would be so adorable for an engagement party or pictures or a bridal shower.

Calling all brides!

&&&&& It’s on sale (!!!!), so you guys don’t have to pay as much as I did for it! 😉 It’s only available in a few size in white, but it’s fully stocked in a really pretty navy color. There are a few more sizes in the white version linked HERE.

Hope everyone has the best weekend! Stay tuned for another fun trip next week 🙂

Key West Review

JEANS: AG │ TOP: Brandy Melville (old) Similar Here │JACKET: Cupcakes and Cashmere │SHOES: Steve Madden │LUGGAGE: Away │WATCH: Michele SUNNIES: Asos (sold out) Similar Here

So excited to get my Key West travel diary up! Linked all the deets from my airport style above. I would wear these shoes to the airport 100x over, they are really that comfortable. I am always about all the layers when traveling, so this jacket is perfect. The leather is so soft and in such a pretty shade of blue!

Where We Stayed:

Let’s get to the fun stuff – our trip! We have been going to the Keys for several years and we always stay at the Casa Marina. It’s a Waldorf Astoria property and a Key West institution.

The hotel itself has been in operation since 1920 and the property is stunning.

It boasts gorgeous sunsets and the largest private beach in Key West. Head here for the best unobstructed ocean views. The hotel is super romantic and hosts weddings almost every weekend. There were two ceremonies while we stayed at the hotel.

Highly recommend.

Where to Eat:

My favorites in Key West go on and on. There are just a ton of really good restaurants in Key West. This trip, we tried out a few new places and went back to a few trusty favorites.

Trusty favorites:

The FireFly is hands down my favorite Key West restaurant. The chef is a genius and has really mastered southern cuisine mixed with an Asian flare. Sounds weird, but it is so so delicious.

Think biscuits as big as your head, boiled peanuts and crispy pig ears.

On my very first visit to Key West, we stumbled upon FireFly – it’s an old house that was converted into a restaurant. Ever since, we go every time we visit Key West. We always sit out on the deck and enjoy the breeze and street views. Highly, highly recommend. This time we had the shrimp and grits and pork. The shrimp and grits is the best I’ve ever had and considering it’s an NC staple – that’s saying a lot. Key West is known for it’s key lime pie which isn’t exactly my favorite dessert (I’m weird, I know). But FireFly has key lime cake that is seriously to die for. So good.

Antonia’s is an Italian restaurant right on Duval Street. It’s pretty small so reservations are a must. They are known for their homemade pasta, bread and desserts. Their wine selection is vast, so we almost always use recommendations from our waiter to decide.

Sloppy Joe’s is another Key West institution, it’s been in operation for over 80 years. Hemingway was a frequent patron of the bar in the 1930’s.

No Key West trip is complete without a Sloppy Joe’s stop.

There is almost always great live music and surprisingly good bar food. The frozen drinks are cold and strong! We always try to stop in at least once or twice and listen to some music and have a drink.

New :

  1. Shor

I found Shor on TripAdvisor and I couldn’t get over the pretty sunset views.

Shor is right on the water at the Hyatt hotel on Front Street. Head here for some seriously fresh seafood. This will be our go to spot from now on to have sunset dinner or drinks.

What to Do:

Dante’s Pool Bar

I LOVE LOVE LOVE Dante’s. It’s exactly what is sounds like – a bar with a huge pool. They have a pretty extensive drink menu and we always try to stop by on our trips.

TBH – I love to go to Dante’s for good people watching. Lots of bachelor and bachelorette parties head to Dante’s for good music and drinks.

They will also clean and cook anything you catch on deep sea fishing excursions. As a bonus – they do have a great happy hour during the week – BOGO domestic beers and various well drinks.

BATHING SUIT: For Love and Lemons (old) Similar Here

Fury Day Tour

I always use TripAdvisor to find things to do when I travel. I found Fury tours on TripAdvisor and we decided to do the half day snorkel, kayak and paddle boarding tour. We left around 9:30 and got back at 2. They do offer morning and afternoon trips. I love being out on the water, so this was the perfect excursion for me. You can snorkel, paddle board, kayak – whatever floats your boat. They serve lunch or dinner (depending on which time of the day you choose) on board. If you like being on the water and seeing some sea life, highly recommend this tour.

BATHING SUIT: Gianni Bini │SUNNIES: Karen Walker

Y’all LOVED this bathing suit.

Don’t hate me – but it’s sold out everywhere and I’m crying inside. Gonna link several similar bikinis Here  (this one is exactly the same just a different print) and Here and Here.

I know this one was a long post, so thanks for reading along. If you’re planning a trip to Key West, feel free to ask questions!

Bow Sleeve Dress

DRESS: Zara │BAG: Mar Y Sol │SHOES: Stuart Weitzman (old) Similar Here │SUNNIES: Karen WalkerBRACELETS: David Yurman │WATCH: Michele

Happy Tuesday friends! Raleigh is getting some serious rain this week, so I had to get this dress up so I can pretend it’s warm and sunny outside. I know, April showers bring May flowers, but I am seriously ready for summer.

Side note – I have seriously been slacking in the gym department.

Ever have those weeks (or months – oops) where you just can’t get motivated? That’s been me since January. So, I’m looking for something fresh to switch up my workout routine. Any suggestions? I’m a group fitness girl, self motivated programs like BBG just doesn’t work for me. I need structure. And someone telling me what to do. And a defined start and end time ;).

Anyways, back to the clothes!

So obsessed with the sweetest bow sleeve dress. I’ve been wearing this on repeat since I got it. It’s so comfortable and cute. Looks adorable dressed down with sandals or flats, too. I am really, really super obsessed with this bag How fun for summer? It’s a great beach bag, but I’ve also just been wearing it as a tote. Really adds a pop of color to boring outfits (what are those? ;).

Questions? I’d love to hear from y’all! I am heading somewhere fun next week for work and I can’t wait to share it with you guys!

The Most Fun Summer Set

SHORTS: Zara│TOP: Zara│SHOES: Marc Fisher│ SUNNIES: BP (sold out) similar Here│ WATCH: Michele│BRACELET: David Yurman

Happy weekend! We have been traveling a lot lately, so I’m happy to just be hanging close to home this weekend. Sometimes it’s nice to just go to the gym and do laundry? Amiright? How cute is this set y’all? I’m telling you Zara can literally do no wrong in my eyes. Every time I pop over to their website, I’m like I’ll take that and that and that. These shorts are super comfortable. I wore this set when we were in Key West to scooter around Duval Street. It’s the perfect set for those summer days when you want to look cute, but also don’t want to be hot.

I’m super guilty of basically only wearing nude shoes. Nude flats, nude sandals, nude pumps, nude wedges. They are just so easy to style. But, how cute are these Marc Fisher wedges? I love the pop of color and the design of the straps. They also come in a really pretty gold/ rose gold version. They’re under $75 bucks and super comfortable. Highly recommend if you’re looking for a colored summer wedge.

I hope you guys have the best weekend. Key West Travel Diary will be live on the blog early next week!

Disney Travel Diary

I wanted to do a simple and sweet blog post on our trip to Disney. I am originally from Florida, so Disney was in my backyard for most of my life. It would be a strange year when I was little if we didn’t go to Disney at least a few times.  I think the last time I counted, I’ve been more than 50 times. When you’re only about an hour and a half away, it makes a great weekend trip. But, up until our recent trip, I hadn’t been back to Disney in years. We did Magic Kingdom, Animal Kingdom and Hollywood Studios this trip. BUT – my favorites are a tie between Harry Potter World and Islands of Adventure.

SHORT & CROP TOP SET: Forever 21 │SHOES: Keds │SUNNIES: Quay │EARS: Amazon

I always wear themed clothing when I head to Disney. I mean, how can you not? When I saw this set, I knew it had to come to Disney with me. I’m also linking the shirt (here) I wore the first day in Disney (y’all saw it on my insta story).

Where We Stayed:

We stayed at the Animal Kingdom Lodge this time. Just a quick forewarning about Disney resorts – you will pay a lot of $$$ for a pretty small room. Yes, it is nice to be so close to the parks and to have a shuttle. But, growing up, we always stayed at less expensive hotels and drove to Disney. It really depends on what’s important to you and how much money you want to spend. Don’t get me wrong – Animal Kingdom Lodge is beautiful and we did have a safari view – but don’t expect a huge room like you would get other resorts.

Where We Ate:

We mainly ate in the park for breakfast and lunch. I always try to get to the park right when it opens so we can run to the most popular rides. It’s how we always were able to ride Space Mountain and Rockin Roller Coaster without waiting 2 hours. Our hotel had a highly recommended restaurant, Sanaa, that we had to check out. The restaurant features African/ Indian cuisine and has been on the Food Network. They are known for their Naan and it is SO worth ordering.

Orlando as a city really has so much more to offer than just Disney. I love Disney Springs and Downtown Disney. We didn’t stay for very long this trip, so we didn’t get to do much other than Disney. If you have any questions about Disney or Orlando in general, feel free to comment or email me.

xoxo
